Aviagen chooses: EMKA Incubators introduces non-reflective colored setter trays for instant recognition

EMKA Incubators introduces non-reflective colored setter trays for instant recognition

Large hatcheries running large and diverse flocks from different farm sources through the same hatchery often find themselves in a position where they need to be able to identify the eggs instantly. Until now, identification was only done with labels or stickers on the trays or trolleys.

EMKA Incubators introduces non-reflective colored setter trays for instant recognition. Non-reflective trays are necessary otherwise the colored tray would influence the candling quality. Although the trays are still labeled using EMKA Incubators’ tray-label-holder, the advantages of colored trays are instantly recognizable. Because of the color, through flows in the hatchery are immediately visible and errors in shipment are eliminated. The advantages are uniquely clear when pure line breeders with differing  GP & GGP flocks run through different  hatcheries. Companies such as Aviagen have called on EMKA Incubators to produce large scale color-specific trays for their incubators.

The advantages are also clear when small farm-holders with limited hatchery capacity run their incubators in multi-stage. Three different colors in a 3-stage multi-stage environment eliminate trolley relocation errors. Never again will eggs be set in the wrong setter area or miss the transfer date resulting in catastrophic setter-tray hatching.
